In-Game Rules

A. Names & Images

1. Names or Images associated with a Player, Guild, or Shop that are Profanity, insulting, racist, drug related, radically right-wing, and/or vulgar are forbidden. This includes the use of slang/profanity, "1337 speak, or anything found to be inappropriate by the game staff.
2. Shop Names should stay within the bounds of the shop name box.


B. Behavior

1. In Game communication should be acceptable at all times
2. Please be respectful of other players. Threatening, scamming, or extorting other players is not permitted.
3. Attempting to impersonate other persons, including but not limited to employees, representatives or hosts of Metin-2 is prohibited.
4. Politically extreme, illegal, racist, pornographic, or otherwise inappropriate statements are forbidden in the game.
5. Defrauding, harassing, threatening, causing distress, or unwanted attention to other players is prohibited.


C. In Game Chat

1. Profanity is not allowed in chat at anytime this includes avoiding the profanity filter i.e. using l337 or "." to write profanity, abbreviations are acceptable i.e. OMG, WTF
2. Language
2.1 The official language in all the Metin2factory services is English/Portuguese; this includes but is not limited to: Game Server, Board, and official chat-rooms.
2.2 Non-English/portuguese chat is prohibited in Call Chat.
2.3 Non-English/portugues chat is tolerated in PM, Guild, Local, or other private chat.
2.4 All communications with the Game Staff must be in English.
3. Spam
3.1 Spamming is prohibited
3.2 Repeatedly sending of messages or nonsensical characters in the Call, Local, or Normal chats is considered spamming.
4. Other
4.1 The posting of links other than those pointing to our servers, site, or board is prohibited.
4.2 Providing information to players on cheats, hacks, or bugs with the intent that they be used is prohibited
4.3 Marketing, promoting, or advertising or any other form of solicitation in the Game or through its Web Site or Forum is forbidden.


D. Real Life Threats

1. Implying that you are going to locate and harm another player, team member, Game Forge representative, or any person that might be related in any way to any of the game services is forbidden.


E. Hacking, Bug Using, & Cheating

1. Manipulating the Client in any way is strictly forbidden. Use of any software for Metin2 that is not distributed by SCG Entertainment is prohibited.
2. Using any piece of software to run the game without human interaction or regard to the content displayed is prohibited. Every click sent to the game servers must come from a live person, not an automated system or script.
3. Bugs, loopholes, security flaws, or any inconsistencies in the game should be immediately reported in the GM Staff. Using any such bugs, loopholes, flaws or inconsistencies in any manner which gives you or others an advantage is prohibited.
4. "Trade Wars" :: Players are forbidden to war with another guild in order to transfer items/pots whilst playing in areas that require to an item to enter i.e. Spider Cave 2 and Grotto of Exile.


F. Password Scavenging

1. Requesting that other users share their passwords with you is prohibited.


G. Selling of Accounts Or Game Items

1. The Selling of game accounts, currency, items or anything with the game for real money or another games account, currency, items is prohibited
2. Selling of game accounts for yang is permitted, however, this must be facilitated by the Game Team see H.7 . Any advertisement relating to selling of accounts must clearly state “yang”


H. Account Data - The Metin2Factory team will never ask you for account data or the password for your account.

1. Each player is responsible for keeping their account data secret.
2. Each account owner is responsible for the actions taken on their accounts at all times. This means that if anyone logs into your account you are held responsible.
3. Keep your Account ID, Email password and account password secure at all times. We highly recommend that you change your password often using alpha and numeric characters.
4. Account loss issue due to general theft, hacking, or scamming on accounts that can be identified as having been shared will not be investigated by the Metin2Factory team.
5. The Metin2 Team will only replace stolen items, characters, or accounts if the account is not shared and has been genuinely hacked i.e. via phishing site/keylogger and if indisputable evidence can be found.
6. Accounts not legally transferred will not be subject to an investigation.
7. Account Transfers, must be processed via the Game Team


I. Player submitted Evidence

1. Players must submit a ticket
1.1 Email address has to match the registered email of the player submitting the Screenshot.
1.2 The IP should match the reportees regular logged IP.
1.3 The ticket must come from the registered account of the person reporting, if the above does not match then the ticket is invalid and will not be used.
1.4 Duplicate Screenshots will not be used and any attempt to abuse this will be taken seriously and could result in a ban.
2. Screenshot Requirement
2.1 Must be full screen
2.2 Must not have been edited or modified in any way
2.3 Must be reported immediately via the ticket system


J. Game Staff Interaction

1. The Game Staff are not allowed to give items or money to players.
2. The Game Staff are not allowed to hold anything for you.
3. The Game Staff are not allowed to help you level characters
4. The Game Staff are not allowed to spawn monster, unless as part of a sanctioned event.
5. The Game Staff are not allowed join guilds or parties.
6. Asking the Game Staff to do any of the above is prohibited and could result in a mute or ban.
